Intoxicants are Unlawful

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) declared that all intoxicants are unlawful.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah SAW said: 'Every intoxicant is Khamr and every intoxicant is unlawful'."
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ خَمْرٌ وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ
