QUICK LESSONS:
Protect yourself when in danger. Seek help from others before resorting to violence.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of self-defense and how it is permissible to use force in order to protect oneself from an attacker. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that if someone were to look at you without permission and you were to throw a stone at him and put out his eye, there would be no blame on you. This hadith teaches us that it is important for us to protect ourselves when we are in danger, but also reminds us not to take matters into our own hands as we should always seek help from those around us first before resorting to violence. We should also remember that even though self-defense is allowed, it should only be used as a last resort when all other options have been exhausted.
