QUICK LESSONS:
Give generously without expecting anything in return
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us the importance of giving gifts and not taking them back. It is narrated from Abu Az-Zubair, from Tawus, that Ibn 'Abbas said that the Messenger of Allah said “The one who takes back his gift is like the one who goes back to his vomit”. This means that taking a gift back after it has been given is as disgusting as going back to vomit. We should be generous with our gifts and not take them away once they have been given away. We should also be thankful for any gifts we receive and appreciate them instead of wanting more or taking them away.
