This hadith is about the importance of equality among children when it comes to giving gifts. The Prophet advised Bashir bin Sa'd, who wanted to give a slave as a present to one of his sons, An-Nu'man, that he should only do so if he has given presents to all his children. This teaches us that we should be fair and equal when it comes to giving gifts or presents, especially among our own family members. We should not show favoritism or partiality towards any particular child by giving them more than the others. It also teaches us that we should be mindful of our actions and think carefully before making decisions which could lead us into sinning or doing something wrong in the eyes of Allah SWT.
