Entering Ihram for Hajj

SUMMARY: The Prophet of Allah marked the Hadi on the right side of its hump, removed the blood and garlanded it with two shoes, then he mounted his she-camel and when it stood up with him Al-Baida, he recited the Talbiyah and entered Ihram at noon for Hajj.

It was narrated from Ibn Abbas: That when the Prophet of Allah came to Dhul-Hulaifah he marked the Hadi on the right side of its hump, the he removed the blood and garlanded it with two shoes, then he mounted his she-camel and when it stood up with him Al-Baida, he recited the Talbiyah and entered Ihram at noon and enter Ihram for Hajj.
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَسَّانَ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ لَمَّا أَتَى ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ أَشْعَرَ الْهَدْىَ فِي جَانِبِ السَّنَامِ الأَيْمَنِ ثُمَّ أَمَاطَ عَنْهُ الدَّمَ وَقَلَّدَهُ نَعْلَيْنِ ثُمَّ رَكِبَ نَاقَتَهُ فَلَمَّا اسْتَوَتْ بِهِ الْبَيْدَاءَ لَبَّى وَأَحْرَمَ عِنْدَ الظُّهْرِ وَأَهَلَّ بِالْحَجِّ

This hadith is about how Prophet Muhammad performed his hajj. He marked a sacrificial animal called a Hadi on its right side of its hump, removed any blood from it and garlanded it with two shoes. Then he mounted his she camel and when it stood up in Al Baida, he recited a prayer called Talbiyah to enter into a state of holiness known as Ihram at noon for hajj. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful of our actions while performing religious rituals like hajj or umrah as they are sacred acts that require utmost respect. It also teaches us to be humble before Allah by entering into a state of holiness known as ihram which requires us to abstain from certain activities such as cutting hair or nails during this period.
