Sunan an-Nasai 2783 (Book 24, Hadith 165) #17394
Sending a Budn to the House

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad garlanded and marked a Budn, then sent it towards the House while staying with his family.

It was narrated that Aishah said: "I twisted the garlands of the Budn of the Messenger of Allah with my own hands, then he garlanded it and marked it, and directed it toward the House and sent it. But he stayed with his family, and nothing became forbidden for him that was allowed".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be mindful of your actions even when you are at home or in your comfort zone; Nothing should become forbidden for you that was allowed before; Be mindful of your families when doing something important; Direct things towards good deeds; Respect your families more than anything else.

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Aishah tells us about an event in which the Prophet Muhammad twisted garlands of a Budn with his own hands, then he garlanded it and marked it. He then directed it towards the House and sent it away. However, he stayed with his family during this time and nothing became forbidden for him that was allowed before. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful of our actions even when we are at home or in our comfort zone as nothing should become forbidden for us that was allowed before. We should also be mindful of our families when doing something important as they are always more important than anything else.
