QUICK LESSONS:
Having the right intentions when fasting

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith emphasizes the importance of having an intention when fasting. It was narrated by Malik bin Anas that Hafsah said that there is no fast for the one who does not intend to fast before dawn. This means that in order to make a fast valid and accepted by Allah, one must have an intention or niyah before dawn or fajr time. Having this intention is essential as it shows sincerity and dedication towards Allah's commands and will be rewarded accordingly. It also serves as a reminder for us to stay mindful of our intentions throughout our day-to-day activities so we can strive towards pleasing Allah in all aspects of life.
