Mutual Respect in Fasting

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that those who fast should not criticize those who do not, and vice versa.

It was narrated from Abu Saeed and Jabir bin 'Abdullah: That they traveled with the Messenger of Allah. Some fasted and some did not, and those who were fasting did not criticize those who were not, and those who were not fasting did not criticize those who were.
أَخْبَرَنِي أَيُّوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ الْمُنْذِرِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، وَجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّهُمَا سَافَرَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فَيَصُومُ الصَّائِمُ وَيُفْطِرُ الْمُفْطِرُ وَلاَ يَعِيبُ الصَّائِمُ عَلَى الْمُفْطِرِ وَلاَ الْمُفْطِرُ عَلَى الصَّائِمِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of mutual respect when it comes to fasting. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was traveling with his companions, some of whom were fasting and some were not. He taught that those who were fasting should not criticize or judge those who weren't, and vice versa. This hadith teaches us the importance of respecting other people's choices even if they are different from our own. It also encourages us to be tolerant of others' beliefs and practices without passing judgement on them. We can learn from this hadith that we should always strive to be respectful towards one another regardless of our differences in opinion or practice.
