Fasting During Travel with the Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's companions travelling with him and some of them fasting while others did not.

It was narrated that Jabir said: "We traveled with the Messenger of Allah and some of us fasted and some of us did not".
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ سَافَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فَصَامَ بَعْضُنَا وَأَفْطَرَ بَعْضُنَا
