Praying at Night

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised to pray two rak'ahs at night and if dawn is near, one rak'ah for witr.

It was narrated that Ibn Umar said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah on the minbar, when he was asked about prayers at night, say: "Two by two, then if you fear that dawn will come, pray witr with one rak'ah'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray two rak’ahs at night before Fajr time if possible; if not then one rak’ah for witr instead; obey the commands of Allah SWT; strive to make sure you are praying regularly; be mindful of the time when praying; have a strong relationship with Allah SWT through prayer .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us the importance of prayer and how to perform it. He said that we should pray two rak’ahs at night, which is a voluntary prayer that can be done after Isha prayer until Fajr time. If we fear that dawn will come soon, then we should only do one rak’ah for witr. This is an important part of our faith as Muslims and it helps us stay connected with Allah SWT throughout the day and night. It also helps us stay focused on our purpose in life which is to worship Allah SWT alone.

We should strive to make sure that we are praying regularly so that our relationship with Allah SWT remains strong and so that He may guide us in all aspects of life. We must remember to always be mindful of the time when praying so as not to miss out on any prayers or delay them unnecessarily. May Allah SWT grant us all success in fulfilling His commands! Ameen!
