Praying at Home

SUMMARY: Praying in one's house is encouraged, and it should not be made to resemble a grave.

It was narrated from Nafi' that Abdullah bin Umar said: "Pray in your houses and do not make them like graves".

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray in your houses
EXPLANATIONS:
Abdullah bin Umar was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and he taught us that we should pray in our homes. This means that we should make time for supplication and worship even when we are at home. We should also remember to keep our homes clean and free from anything that resembles a grave, such as pictures or symbols of death or sadness. This hadith encourages us to make our homes places of peace, joy, and worship.
