QUICK LESSONS:
Celebrate special occasions like Eid with joyous activities such as music and dancing within Islamic limits .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us that it is permissible to celebrate the days of Eid with music and joy. It was narrated by Urwah who heard it from Aishah that Abu Bakr As-Siddiq entered her house while two girls were playing drums and singing. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was covered in his garment but when he saw what was happening he uncovered his face and said “Let them be there, O Abu Bakr, for these are the days of 'Eid”. This shows us that celebrating with music is allowed during special occasions such as Eid al-Adha or Eid al-Fitr. We can learn from this hadith that we should enjoy our celebrations in a way which does not go against Islamic teachings or values. We should also remember to thank Allah for all His blessings on us during these special occasions.
