Sunan an-Nasai 905 (Book 11, Hadith 30) #15513
Prayer of Abu Hurairah Resembling that of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the prayer of Abu Hurairah and how it closely resembled the prayer of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

It was narrated that Nu'aim Al-Mujmir said: "I prayed behind Abu Hurairah and he recited: In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, then he recited Umm Al-Qur'an (Al Fatihah), and when he reached: not (the way) of those who earned Your anger, nor of those who went astray, he said: 'Amin and the people said 'Amin. And every time he prostrated he said: 'Allahu Akbar and when he stood up from sitting after two Rak'ahs he said: 'Allahu Akbar'. And after he had said the Salam he said: 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! My prayer most closely remembers the prayer of the Messenger of Allah'."

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the prayer of Abu Hurairah, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad. It was narrated by Nu’aim Al-Mujmir that he prayed behind him and noticed that his prayer was very similar to that of the Messenger. He recited Surat al Fatihah, and when he reached a certain verse, he said ‘Amin’ and everyone else followed suit. Every time he prostrated himself in sujood, he said ‘Allahu Akbar’ and after two rakats, he said it again before saying salam. After finishing his prayer, Abu Hurayrah declared with conviction that his prayers were most similar to those offered by the Messenger himself. This hadith teaches us to strive for excellence in our prayers as well as our other deeds so we can be closer to Allah SWT. We should also take care not to miss any part or forget any words while praying so we can offer our best worship possible.
