The Prohibition of Nabidh

SUMMARY: Allah's Apostle forbade the preparation of Nabidh.

This hadith has been reported on the authority of Qatada with the same chain of transmitters that Allah's Apostle forbade (the preparation of) Nabidh, the rest of the hadith is the same.
وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ نَهَى أَنْ يُنْتَبَذَ ‏.‏ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibition of a type of drink called nabidh. It was reported on the authority of Qatada that Allah's Apostle forbade the preparation of nabidh. Nabidh is a type of drink made from fruits or grains soaked in water and left to ferment for some time before it can be consumed. According to this hadith, Muslims are not allowed to prepare or consume this type of drink as it has been prohibited by Allah's Apostle. This hadith teaches us that we should obey and follow the teachings and instructions given by Allah's Messenger in order to stay away from things that are forbidden in Islam.
