QUICK LESSONS:
Treat others fairly and with justice even if it means giving up something oneself

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the exchange of money and commodities without taking any interest. It was narrated by Ibn 'Abbas and Usama b. Zaid on the authority of Allah's Messenger that there should not be any element of interest when exchanging money or commodities hand to hand. This means that one should not take more than what they are giving in return for a commodity or money, as this would constitute as taking an unfair advantage over someone else’s wealth which is prohibited in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad also taught us to always treat others fairly and with justice, even if it means we have to give up something ourselves in order to do so.
