QUICK LESSONS:
Use contraceptives responsibly with mutual consent between husband and wife in order to prevent unwanted pregnancies or other issues related to family planning .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah and it talks about a practice called 'azl that was done during the life of Allah's Messenger. 'Azl refers to a form of contraception where a man withdraws his penis from his wife before ejaculation. This was practiced in order to prevent pregnancy and it was allowed by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as long as both husband and wife agreed on it. It is important to note that this practice should not be used as an excuse for avoiding responsibility or neglecting one’s duties towards their spouse or children. Rather, it should be used responsibly with mutual consent between husband and wife in order to prevent unwanted pregnancies or other issues related to family planning.
