QUICK LESSONS:
Seek guidance from Islamic teachings before making decisions regarding intimate relationships

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the permissibility of a practice called ‘azl in Islam. ‘Azl is a form of contraception where a man withdraws his penis from his wife’s vagina before ejaculation during intercourse. The hadith states that during the time of Prophet Muhammad, some people practiced this and he did not forbid them from doing so. This shows that it is permissible to practice ‘azl as long as it does not lead to any harm or injustice towards either partner. It also teaches us that we should be mindful when making decisions regarding our intimate relationships, and should always seek guidance from Islamic teachings first before making any decisions.
