Support LaunchGood: Active Campaigns

In response to a recent potential hate crime in Burlington, Vermont, where three young Palestinian men were shot simply for their identity, the community expresses collective outrage and condemnation. This incident, reflective of a concerning rise in hate crimes against Palestinians, underscores the need for immediate attention and action.

The victims, Hisham Awartani, Kinnan Abdalhamid, and Tahseen Ali Ahmad, students from various colleges, face medical and rehabilitation needs, prompting the launch of a crowdfunding campaign to cover their expenses and support their recovery. Additionally, assistance is sought to unite their parents with them during this challenging period, involving travel coordination and living expenses.

This crowdfunding initiative aims not only to provide crucial medical aid but also to address the broader challenges faced by the victims and their families, including temporary relocation and additional living costs.

The campaign emphasizes the importance of collective action against dehumanization, hate crimes, and Islamophobia, calling on individuals to contribute, share the cause on social media, and advocate for an end to discrimination against Palestinians. The goal is to build a safer and more inclusive future for everyone, uniting the community against hate and in support of justice.

In response to a tragic event in the Paterson community, where Imam Sayed Elnakib was brutally stabbed while leading Fajr prayer at a mosque in New Jersey, a crowdfunding campaign on LaunchGood has been initiated.

Managed by the Imam's Daughter-in-Law, the campaign aims to gather support for the recovery and rehabilitation of Imam Sayed and to enhance the resilience and security of the community. All funds raised will be directed to Imam Elnakib's family to assist them during these challenging times.

Contributions to the LaunchGood campaign, regardless of the amount, are encouraged, with an additional call to share the initiative across social networks to meet the fundraising goal. Beyond financial support, people are urged to keep Imam Elnakib and the community in their prayers for a fast recovery and protection from harm.

The initiative seeks to strengthen the community through unity and compassion, emphasizing that each donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in both Imam Sayed's recovery and the community's enduring strength in the face of adversity.
