Time For a Serious Look at Peace Process.

The Arab world, if there is one, or at least the Arab countries, should now look very seriously at the peace process and question its validity. Has it achieved its purpose? Or is it a U.S.-Israeli ploy to give the Zionist state enough time to regroup and implement a more sinister program of political, social and economic hegemony over the Arab states? Unfortunately the Arabs do not read. Nor are they good listeners. And while they may have developed some good tactical skills, they lack the resolve to have a long-range strategy that can contain the U.S.-Israeli combine and thwart their evil intentions.

The intentions of Tel Aviv and Washington are clear. Their arrogance has reached such a level that they propagate their diabolical plans in public with no fear of offending the Arabs with whom they have strong economic ties. Israeli arrogance, prompted by support from American Jewish organizations, has emboldened Tel Aviv to reject the land for peace formula.

Observers of events in the occupied lands are distressed at the oppressive behavior of the Israeli occupiers. Every day we see pictures of Palestinian children and old women being clubbed by sadistic Israeli soldiers using assault rifles supplied by the Americans. The Jews who have two sets of principles - one for themselves and the other for non-Jews - will use all devious means to get out of the "mess" they are in - that is, the Oslo accords. The Netanyahu government is trying to justify its actions by giving every imaginable irrelevant excuses. Israel wants to impose its own political diktat over others. It believes that its long standing relations with the United States gives it a moral edge. That itself is surprising because U.S. foreign policy has always lacked morality - be it in the Middle East or South East Asia.

The Israelis know they cannot enter into a war with the Arabs. Of course, the U.S. will side with them, but neither Europe nor others will jump to their aid. They might go for limited targets and try another "Lebanon attack" using the pretext of the Syrian presence in Lebanon. Israeli supports in the Clinton administration range from the power-mad vindictiveness of Madeleine Albright to the shrewd Martin Indyck and the cunning Dennis Ross. These three are great fans of Israel and supporters of U.S. funding of Israel's Arrow missile program which has already cost American taxpayers over 750 million dollars - an amount which the homeless and hungry across America could well make use of.

Now what are Tel Aviv and Washington up to if not cooperating to produce weapons of mass destruction? To be used on whom? They are also trying to ape the old British policy of divide and rule. They want to create dissension and disunity among the Arabs. In a paper published by the Institute for Advanced Strategic and Political Studies , the participants recommended that "Israel can shape its strategic environment, in cooperation with Turkey and Jordan, by weakening, containing, and even rolling back Syria. This effort can focus on removing Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq - an important Israeli strategic objective in its own right - as a means of foiling Syria's regional ambitions." According to the paper, "Israel has a chance to forge a new relationship between itself and the Palestinians. First and foremost, Israel's efforts to secure its streets may require hot pursuit into Palestinian-controlled areas."

The arrogance of the Jewish lobby in the U.S. has reached heights of chilling proportions. They believe Israel has no obligation under the Oslo agreement and can do whatever it wants. Money is being brought in from New York, Miami and Los Angeles to buy Arab land. While Arabs are buying in Cannes, Nice and Honolulu, their own people are being squeezed into selling their land. This must be stopped immediately. The Arabs should be aware that Israel will try to patronize any gullible Arabs and use them. In this connection, they will not only contain their "foes" but will transcend them.

The U.S. and Israel might also formalize their defense treaty. The U.S., while attacking other nations such as India for refusing to sign the U.S.-sponsored Nuclear non-Proliferation Treaty or CTBT, is embracing a country that has also refused. What is even worse for the Arabs is that so many of Clinton's top advisors are committed to Israel. Thus, those responsible for formulating America's policy in the Middle East are the very ones who want the Arabs to be slaves of the Israelis. The Arabs must wake up and see through the nefarious and satanic design of those who wish them harm. They must do so now before it is too late.
