The Luckiest Person on Judgement Day

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the luckiest person on the Day of Resurrection being the one who sincerely believes in and proclaims that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah.

Narrated Abu Huraira: I said: "O Allah's Messenger ! Who will be the luckiest person, who will gain your intercession on the Day of Resurrection?" Allah's Messenger said: O Abu Huraira! "I have thought that none will ask me about it before you as I know your longing for the (learning of) Hadiths. The luckiest person who will have my intercession on the Day of Resurrection will be the one who said sincerely from the bottom of his heart "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، مَنْ أَسْعَدُ النَّاسِ بِشَفَاعَتِكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ لَقَدْ ظَنَنْتُ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ أَنْ لاَ يَسْأَلَنِي عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَحَدٌ أَوَّلُ مِنْكَ، لِمَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْ حِرْصِكَ عَلَى الْحَدِيثِ، أَسْعَدُ النَّاسِ بِشَفَاعَتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ قَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ، خَالِصًا مِنْ قَلْبِهِ أَوْ نَفْسِهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrated by Abu Huraira speaks of a very important lesson for all believers. It tells us that on the day of judgement, when everyone will be judged for their deeds in this world, those who have sincerely proclaimed “None has the right to be worshipped but Allah” from their hearts will be granted intercession by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and will thus become some of the luckiest people. This hadith teaches us that we should always remember our Lord and worship Him alone without associating any partners with Him. We should also strive to make sure our faith is sincere and not just a mere lip service. Furthermore, it reminds us how important it is to believe in Allah’s Oneness as this belief can bring great rewards even after death.
