Counting Days of a Month

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) teaching how to count the days of a month.

Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported Allah's Messenger as saying: The month is thus, and thus, and thus, and he flapped his hands with all their fingers twice. but at the third turn, folded his right thumb or left thumb (in order to give an idea of twenty-nine).

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's teachings on how to count the days of a month. He demonstrated this by flapping his hands with all their fingers twice, and then folding his right thumb or left thumb at the third turn. This was done in order to give an idea of twenty-nine, which is the number of days in most months. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful and aware when counting our days, as it can help us stay organized and productive throughout our lives. It also encourages us to use our hands as tools for learning, as this can help children understand concepts better than just reading them from books or hearing them from adults.
