Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ﷺ as saying: I go back to my family and I find a date lying on my bed. I then take it up to eat it, but then I throw it away fearing that it may be a Sadaqa.
This hadith also encourages us to be mindful of our actions and think before doing anything that could potentially benefit others more than ourselves. We should always strive to do good deeds no matter how small they may seem because they can have a lasting impact on those around us. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us that Allah rewards those who are generous with their wealth and resources by blessing them with more in return from Him.
