On the day of a solar eclipse, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was so perturbed that he took hold of someone else’s outer garment and stood in prayer for such a long time that people who came later did not realize he had already observed ruku'. This hadith shows us how devoted and dedicated the Prophet ﷺ was to his prayers, even during times when his emotions were running high. He showed us how important it is to stay focused on our prayers no matter what is going on around us. It also teaches us to be mindful about our actions, even when we are feeling overwhelmed or emotional. We should strive to remain calm and composed at all times, as this is what Allah expects from His believers.
