The Importance of Dawn Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet was more particular about the two rak'ahs of the dawn prayer than any other supererogatory prayers.

'A'isha reported that the Apostle was not so much particular about observing supererogatory rak'ahs as in case of the two rak'ahs of the dawn prayer.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith highlights the importance of the two rak'ahs of dawn prayer, which is a part of salat or namaz. It is narrated by 'A'isha that Prophet Muhammad was more particular about these two rak'ahs than any other supererogatory prayers. This shows how important it is to observe these two rak'ahs and how much emphasis was given to them by Prophet Muhammad himself. It also teaches us that we should be mindful and attentive while performing our daily prayers, especially those which are obligatory upon us as Muslims.
