The Prophet's Prayer After Buying a Camel

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) bought a camel from Jabir and when he returned to Medina, he asked Jabir to come to the mosque and prayed two rak'ahs.

Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported: The Messenger of Allah bought a camel from me. When he came back to Medina, he ordered me to come to the mosque and observed two rak'ahs of prayer.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُحَارِبٍ، سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ اشْتَرَى مِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بَعِيرًا فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ آتِيَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَأُصَلِّيَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's exemplary behavior after buying a camel from Jabir b. 'Abdullah. After returning to Medina, the Prophet asked Jabir to come with him to the mosque and prayed two rak'ahs of prayer there as an act of gratitude for his purchase. This hadith teaches us that we should always be thankful for our blessings, no matter how small they may be, by expressing our gratitude through prayer or other acts of worship. It also shows us that we should always strive for excellence in our dealings with others by being honest and fair in all transactions. Finally, it reminds us that even small acts of kindness can have great rewards if done sincerely out of love for Allah SWT and His Messenger PBUH.
