Sahih Muslim 699b (Book 6, Hadith 36) #8761
Praying at Home in Rainy Weather

SUMMARY: The hadith is about Abdullah ibn Abbas addressing people on a rainy day and telling them to pray in their homes. He also said that the Prophet (PBUH) is better than him.

'Abd al-Hamid reported: I heard 'Abdullah b. al-Harith say: 'Abdullah b. 'Abbas addressed us on a rainy day, and the rest of the hadith is the same, but he made no mention of Jumu'a prayer, and added: He who did it (who commanded us to say prayer in our houses), i. e. the Messenger of Allah , is better than I.

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray at home during rainy days instead of going out into the rain .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of prayer and how it should be done even during rainy weather. Abdullah ibn Abbas was addressing people on a rainy day and told them to pray in their homes instead of going out into the rain. He also mentioned that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was better than him when it comes to following Allah's commands and teachings. This shows us how important it is for us to follow Allah's commands no matter what situation we are in or what weather we are facing outside our homes. We should always strive to do our best when it comes to fulfilling our religious obligations such as prayer, fasting, charity etc., even if we have difficulty doing so due to external factors like bad weather or sickness etc..
