QUICK LESSONS:
Pray according to the prescribed form depending on the situation
EXPLANATIONS:
Allah has prescribed prayer for Muslims to be done in different forms depending on the situation. When a person is living in one place and not travelling, they should pray four rak'ahs. When travelling, they should pray two rak'ahs and when there is danger present then only one rak'ah should be prayed. This hadith was narrated by Ibn 'Abbas who was a companion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and it teaches us that we must always remember to pray even if our circumstances change or if we are facing danger. We must also remember that prayer is an important part of our faith and it helps us stay connected with Allah SWT no matter what situation we are in.
