Sahih al-Bukhari 864 (Book 10, Hadith 255) #835
The Importance of Praying Isha on Time

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the importance of praying Isha on time and how it was a practice in Medina to pray Isha between the disappearance of twilight and the first third of the night.

Narrated 'Aisha: Once Allah's Messenger delayed the 'Isha' prayer till 'Umar informed him that the women and children had slept. The Prophet came out and said, "None except you from amongst the dwellers of earth is waiting for this prayer". In those days, there was no prayer except in Medina and they used to pray the 'Isha' prayer between the disappearance of the twilight and the first third of the night.

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray your daily prayers at their designated times without unnecessary delays or excuses.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of praying Isha, which is one of five daily prayers in Islam, on time. It was narrated by Aisha that once Prophet Muhammad delayed his prayer until Umar informed him that women and children had already gone to sleep. Prophet Muhammad then said that no one else from among all people living on earth was waiting for this prayer except them. In those days, there was no other place where people prayed except Medina and they used to pray Isha between the disappearance of twilight and first third part of night. This hadith teaches us that we should be punctual when it comes to our prayers as Allah has set specific times for each prayer so we should try our best not to miss them or delay them unnecessarily.
