The Prophet's Special Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) recited a special prayer before his death, which was revealed to him as a sign for his Ummah.

'A'isha reported that the Messenger of Allah before his death recited often: Hallowed be Thou, and with Thy praise, I seek forgiveness from Thee and return to Thee. She reported: I said: Messenger of Allah, what are these words that I find you reciting? He said: There has been made a sign for me in my Ummah; when I saw that, I uttered them (these words of glorification for Allah), and the sign is:" When Allah's help and victory. to the end of the surah.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ يُكْثِرُ أَنْ يَقُولَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمُوتَ ‏"‏ سُبْحَانَكَ وَبِحَمْدِكَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا هَذِهِ الْكَلِمَاتُ الَّتِي أَرَاكَ أَحْدَثْتَهَا تَقُولُهَا قَالَ ‏"‏ جُعِلَتْ لِي عَلاَمَةٌ فِي أُمَّتِي إِذَا رَأَيْتُهَا قُلْتُهَا ‏{‏ إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ‏}‏ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ إِلَى آخِرِ السُّورَةِ

EXPLANATIONS:
Before the passing of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), he often recited a special prayer that was revealed to him as a sign for his Ummah. This prayer is known as Hallowed be Thou, and with Thy praise, I seek forgiveness from Thee and return to Thee. When asked about these words by 'A'isha, the Prophet explained that it was revealed to him as a sign for his Ummah. This prayer is an expression of glorification and praise towards Allah SWT, seeking His forgiveness and returning back to Him in repentance. It also expresses hope in Allah's help and victory over all obstacles faced by His believers. This hadith teaches us the importance of praising Allah SWT through our words and actions while seeking His mercy at all times. It also reminds us that we should always have faith in Allah's help when facing difficulties in life, knowing that He will grant us victory if we remain steadfast on our path towards Him.
