Be mindful when using resources such as water; Set an example through personal actions; Conserve natural resources like water; Follow the teachings of the beloved prophet (ﷺ) .

This hadith is about the water usage of the beloved prophet Muhammad ﷺ for ablution and bathing. It is reported by Anas ibn Malik that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took a bath with five Makkuks of water and performed ablution with one Makkuk. A makkuk is an Arabic unit of measurement which equals to approximately four liters. This hadith teaches us that even though we are allowed to use as much water as we need for our ablutions or baths, it is important to be mindful about how much we use so that we don't waste it unnecessarily. We should also remember that our beloved prophet ﷺ was very conscious about his own usage of water in order to set an example for us all.
