The Punishment of Painters

SUMMARY: Allah's Messenger warned that those who paint pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection.

Narrated Aisha: Allah's Messenger said, "The painter of these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them, Make alive what you have created'. "
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ هَذِهِ الصُّوَرِ يُعَذَّبُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَيُقَالُ لَهُمْ أَحْيُوا مَا خَلَقْتُمْ

This hadith is a warning from Allah's Messenger about the punishment that awaits those who paint pictures. On the Day of Judgement, these painters will be asked to bring their creations to life, and if they are unable to do so, they will face severe punishment. This hadith serves as a reminder for us to stay away from any form of depiction or painting as it is considered sinful in Islam. We should instead focus our efforts on doing good deeds and worshipping Allah in order to gain His mercy and forgiveness.
