QUICK LESSONS:
Ask Allah for safety
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of seeking protection from enemies and asking Allah for safety. It is narrated by Abdullah bin Abi Aufa that the Prophet Muhammad said “Do not long for meeting your enemy, and ask Allah for safety”. This means that we should not wish to confront our enemies but instead seek refuge in Allah from all sorts of evil. We should also make dua or supplicate to God to protect us from any harm or danger that may come our way. The Prophet Muhammad was teaching us here to be patient in difficult times and trust in God’s power rather than relying on ourselves alone. He was also reminding us that it is better to forgive than seek revenge as revenge can lead to more hatred and animosity between people which can only cause further destruction.
