Sahih al-Bukhari 7122 (Book 92, Hadith 69) #6841
Beware of Ad-Dajjal's False Promises

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ warned against believing in Ad-Dajjal and his false promises of abundance of food and water, as it is only a test from Allah.

Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba: Nobody asked the Prophet as many questions as I asked regarding Ad-Dajjal. The Prophet said to me, "What worries you about him?" I said, "Because the people say that he will have a mountain of bread and a river of water with him (ie he will have abundance of food and water)" The Prophet said, "Nay, he is too mean to be allowed such a thing by Allah"' (but it is only to test mankind whether they believe in Allah or in Ad-Dajjal)

QUICK LESSONS:
Put your faith in God alone , Trust His judgement over anything else

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith warns us against believing in the false promises made by Ad-Dajjal. It is narrated by Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba who asked the Prophet Muhammad many questions about Ad-Dajjal. He was worried because people said that he would have a mountain of bread and a river of water with him. The Prophet Muhammad replied that this was not true as Allah would not allow such things for someone so mean. This hadith teaches us to be wary of false promises made by anyone, especially those made by Ad-Dajjal, as it is only a test from Allah to see if we believe in Him or not. We should always put our faith in Allah alone and trust His judgement over anything else.
