Sahih al-Bukhari 7034 (Book 91, Hadith 49) #6760
The Symbolism of Two Liars

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) had a dream in which two golden bangles were put on his hands, and he was told to blow them off. He interpreted this dream as a symbol of two liars who would appear.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas: Allah's Messenger said, "While I was sleeping, two golden bangles were put in my two hands, so I got scared (frightened) and disliked it, but I was given permission to blow them off, and they flew away. I interpret it as a symbol of two liars who will appear"'.Ubaidullah said, "One of them was Al-'Ansi who was killed by Fairuz at Yemen and the other was Musailama (at Najd) .

QUICK LESSONS:
Pay attention to your dreams, Interpret symbols correctly

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is reported to have had a dream in which two golden bangles were put on his hands. This scared him and he disliked it, but he was given permission to blow them off and they flew away. He interpreted this dream as a symbol of two liars who would appear in the future. It is believed that one of these liars was Al-'Ansi who was killed by Fairuz at Yemen and the other was Musailama at Najd. This hadith teaches us that dreams can be symbolic representations of events that will occur in the future, so we should pay attention to our dreams and interpret them accordingly. It also teaches us about being wary of people who lie or deceive others for their own gain; we should not trust such people or believe what they say without verifying it first.
