Driving Carefully with Women Aboard

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ was on a journey and advised a slave to drive the camels slowly when women were riding them.

Narrated Anas: The Prophet was on a journey and a slave named Anjasha was chanting (singing) for the camels to let them go fast (while driving). The Prophet said, "O Anjasha, drive slowly (the camels) with the glass vessels!" Abu Qilaba said, "By the glass vessels' he meant the women (riding the camels).

QUICK LESSONS:
Be careful when travelling or driving with women aboard; show respect towards them; be mindful of your actions around them; strive for respect and care like what is shown by the prophet .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Anas ibn Malik tells us about an incident that happened during the Prophet's journey. A slave named Anjasha was driving the camels and he was singing to make them go faster. However, the Prophet noticed this and asked him to drive slowly as there were women riding on the camels. This hadith teaches us that we should be careful when driving or travelling with women aboard as they are delicate creatures who need extra care and protection. We should also be mindful of our actions in front of them as it can have an effect on their safety and wellbeing. Furthermore, this hadith also shows us how much respect and care the Prophet showed towards women even in his travels which is something we should all strive for in our own lives.
