Sahih al-Bukhari 6157 (Book 78, Hadith 183) #5912
Kindness and Understanding in Difficult Situations

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ showed kindness and understanding to Safiya when she was feeling sad and depressed due to her menses, allowing her to travel with them despite the fact that she had already performed the Tawaf Al-Ifada.

Narrated 'Aisha: The Prophet intended to return home after the performance of the Hajj, and he saw Safiya standing at the entrance of her tent, depressed and sad because she got her menses. The Prophet said, "Aqra Halqa! --An expression used in the Quraish dialect--"You will detain us". The Prophet then asked (her), "Did you perform the Tawaf Al-Ifada on the Day of Sacrifice (10th of Dhul-Hijja)?" She said, "Yes". The Prophet said, "Then you can leave (with us).

QUICK LESSONS:
Show compassion & kindness towards others even in difficult situations.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) showed kindness and understanding towards Safiya when she was feeling sad due to her menses. Even though she had already performed the Tawaf Al-Ifada, which is a ritual of Hajj, he still allowed her to travel with them. This shows us that even in difficult situations, we should show kindness and understanding towards others. We should not judge people for their circumstances or make assumptions about them without knowing all of the facts first. Instead, we should try our best to be compassionate and understanding towards others no matter what situation they are in.
