Special Privilege of Female Slaves in Medina

SUMMARY: The female slaves of Medina had a special privilege to take the hand of Prophet Muhammad and lead him wherever they wished.

Anas bin Malik said, "Any of the female slaves of Medina could take hold of the hand of Allah's Messenger and take him wherever she wished".
وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَتِ الأَمَةُ مِنْ إِمَاءِ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ لَتَأْخُذُ بِيَدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فَتَنْطَلِقُ بِهِ حَيْثُ شَاءَتْ‏.‏
