This hadith speaks to the importance of showing mercy and kindness to others. It was narrated by Abu Huraira, who reported that Allah's Messenger, peace be upon him, kissed Al-Hasan bin 'Ali while Al-Aqra' bin H'Abis at-Tamim was sitting beside him. When Al-Aqra expressed surprise that he had never kissed any of his own children, Allah's Messenger cast a look at him and said "Whoever is not merciful to others will not be treated mercifully".
