Take care of your body by shaving your pubic hair, clipping your nails and cutting your moustaches short.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us about a concept called ‘Fitra’ which is an Arabic word meaning ‘natural disposition’. He said that shaving the pubic hair, clipping the nails and cutting the moustaches short are characteristics of this natural disposition. This means that it is important to take care of our bodies in these ways as part of our faith and religious practice. It also teaches us to be mindful about how we present ourselves in public, as having unkempt facial hair or long nails can be seen as disrespectful or unclean. Taking care of our bodies in this way is a sign that we respect ourselves and those around us.
