QUICK LESSONS:
Take sacrificial meat with you when traveling; Share sacrificial meat with those in need; Visit Madinah; Pay respect towards our beloved prophet ﷺ .

EXPLANATIONS:
During the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, it was a common practice for his companions to take with them the meat from their sacrifices during Id al Adha. This is known as Qurbani or Udhiyah in Arabic. They would bring this sacrificial meat with them when they traveled from their hometowns to visit Madinah. The hadith also mentions that they often took along a Hadi which is an animal that is sacrificed as part of Hajj pilgrimage. This hadith teaches us about the importance of sacrificing animals and sharing its meat with others in need as an act of charity and kindness towards our fellow human beings. It also shows us how important it was for Muslims at that time to visit Madinah and pay respect to the city where our beloved prophet ﷺ lived and taught us about Islam.
