Following One's Spouse in Public

SUMMARY: A slave of Bani so-and-so, Mughith, was seen following his wife Barira in the streets of Medina.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: That was Mughith, the slave of Bani so-and-so, ie, Barira's husband as if I am now looking at him following her (Barirah) along the streets of Medina.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ ذَاكَ مُغِيثٌ عَبْدُ بَنِي فُلاَنٍ ـ يَعْنِي زَوْجَ بَرِيرَةَ ـ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ يَتْبَعُهَا فِي سِكَكِ الْمَدِينَةِ، يَبْكِي عَلَيْهَا‏.‏

This hadith is about a man named Mughith who was a slave of Bani so-and-so and his wife Barira. The hadith is narrated by Ibn 'Abbas and it talks about how he saw Mughith following Barira in the streets of Medina.
