Respect your spouse, Follow your spouse publicly

This hadith is about a man named Mughith who was a slave of Bani so-and-so and his wife Barira. The hadith is narrated by Ibn 'Abbas and it talks about how he saw Mughith following Barira in the streets of Medina. This hadith teaches us that husbands should follow their wives in public as it is an act of respect and love for them. It also shows us that even though Mughith was a slave, he still respected his wife enough to follow her around publicly which shows us that no matter what our social status may be, we should always treat our spouses with respect and love.
