Devotion to Allah

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was a very thankful and devoted servant of Allah, so much so that he would pray until his feet became swollen.

Narrated Al-Mughira: The Prophet used to offer night prayers till his feet became swollen. Somebody said, to him," "Allah has forgiven you, your faults of the past and those to follow". On that, he said, "Shouldn't I be a thankful slave of Allah)?"
حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادٌ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ الْمُغِيرَةَ، يَقُولُ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ حَتَّى تَوَرَّمَتْ قَدَمَاهُ فَقِيلَ لَهُ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَكَ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ قَالَ ‏ "‏ أَفَلاَ أَكُونُ عَبْدًا شَكُورًا

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was an exemplary servant of Allah. He showed his devotion to Allah through prayer, even when it caused him physical pain. He was also incredibly grateful for the blessings that Allah had bestowed upon him, and expressed this gratitude by continuing to serve Him faithfully. This hadith teaches us the importance of being thankful for all that we have been given and striving to be devoted servants of God in our own lives.

We should strive to emulate the example set by the Prophet ﷺ in our own lives by showing gratitude for all that we have been blessed with and devoting ourselves fully to worshipping God through prayer and other acts of worship.
