Reciting Surat Al-Fath on the Day of Conquest

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) recited Surat Al-Fath in a pleasant voice on the day of the Conquest of Mecca.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mughaffal: On the Day of the Conquest of Mecca, the Prophet recited Surat Al-Fath in a vibrating and pleasant voice. (Muawiya, the subnarrator said, "If I could imitate the recitation of the Prophet I would do so")
حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ قُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ، قَالَ قَرَأَ النَّبِيُّ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ سُورَةَ الْفَتْحِ فَرَجَّعَ فِيهَا‏.‏ قَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ لَوْ شِئْتُ أَنْ أَحْكِيَ لَكُمْ قِرَاءَةَ النَّبِيِّ لَفَعَلْتُ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's recitation of Surat al-Fath on the day of conquest. On this day, he read it out loud in a pleasant and vibrating voice. This was witnessed by Abdullah bin Mughaffal who said that if he could imitate it he would do so. This hadith teaches us to be humble and recognize that we cannot match up to what Allah has given to His beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It also teaches us to appreciate and take pleasure in reading Quran as much as possible since it is a source of guidance for us all. Furthermore, this hadith shows us how important it is for Muslims to celebrate their victories with joy and gratitude towards Allah SWT for His blessings upon them.
