Sahih al-Bukhari 4375 (Book 64, Hadith 400) #4173
The Vanishing Gold Bangles

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) being given two gold bangles in a dream and being instructed to blow on them, which he did and they vanished. It is interpreted as referring to two liars between whom the Prophet was present.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger said, "While I was sleeping, I was given the treasures of the earth and two gold bangles were put in my hands, and I did not like that, but I received the inspiration that I should blow on them, and I did so, and both of them vanished. I interpreted it as referring to the two liars between whom I am present; the ruler of Sana and the Ruler of Yamaha".

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was given a dream in which he was presented with two gold bangles. He did not like them but then received an inspiration from Allah that he should blow on them, so he did and they vanished. This is interpreted as referring to two liars between whom the Prophet ﷺ was present at that time; one ruler of Sana and another ruler of Yamaha. This hadith teaches us that we should always be wary of people who lie or deceive us, because it can lead to disastrous consequences for all involved parties. We must also remember that Allah knows all things and will always guide us if we are patient enough to listen for His guidance. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us of the importance of interpreting dreams correctly; if we do not interpret our dreams correctly then it could lead to misunderstanding or misjudgment about certain matters in life.
