Sahih al-Bukhari 397 (Book 8, Hadith 48) #392
Praying in the Ka'ba

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) prayed two rak'at between the two pillars which are to the left on entering the Ka'ba.

Narrated Mujahid: Someone came to Ibn 'Umar and said, "Here is Allah's Messenger entering the Ka'ba". Ibn 'Umar said, "I went there but the Prophet had come out of the Ka'ba and I found Bilal standing between its two doors. I asked Bilal, 'Did the Prophet pray in the Ka'ba?' Bilal replied, 'Yes, he prayed two rak'at between the two pillars which are to your left on entering the Ka'ba. Then Allah's Messenger came out and offered a two-rak'at prayer facing the Ka'ba'. "

This hadith is about how Prophet Muhammad ﷺ prayed two rak’ats between two pillars inside of the Ka’aba. The Ka’aba is a holy place located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia and it is considered to be one of Islam's holiest sites. It was built by Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail as a house of worship for Allah. Every year millions of Muslims from all over the world travel to Mecca to perform Hajj or Umrah at this sacred site.
