The Story of the Day of Uhud Battle

SUMMARY: This hadith is about Talha bin 'Ubaidullah narrating a story about the day of Uhud battle.

Narrated As-Saib bin Yazid: I have been in the company of 'AbdurRahman bin 'Auf, Talha bin 'Ubaidullah, Al-Miqdad and Sa'd, and I heard none of them narrating anything from the Prophet excepting the fact that I heard Talha narrating about the day of Uhud (battle) .
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي الأَسْوَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ السَّائِبَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ صَحِبْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ وَطَلْحَةَ بْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ وَالْمِقْدَادَ وَسَعْدًا رضى الله عنهم فَمَا سَمِعْتُ أَحَدًا مِنْهُمْ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ، إِلاَّ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ طَلْحَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ يَوْمِ أُحُدٍ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by As-Saib bin Yazid, who was in the company of 'AbdurRahman bin 'Auf, Talha bin 'Ubaidullah, Al-Miqdad and Sa'd. He heard none of them narrating anything from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ except for Talha's narration about the day of Uhud battle. The day of Uhud was a conflict between Muslims and non-Muslims that took place in 624 CE near Medina. It was an important event in Islamic history as it showed how Muslims can remain steadfast even when facing difficult odds. It also taught us to be prepared for any kind of situation and to never give up hope no matter what happens.
