Protection of the Prophet (ﷺ) at Uhud

SUMMARY: Talha protected the Prophet (ﷺ) on the day of Uhud and his hand was paralyzed as a result.

Narrated Qais: I saw Talha's paralyzed hand with which he had protected the Prophet on the day of Uhud.
حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ يَدَ طَلْحَةَ شَلاَّءَ، وَقَى بِهَا النَّبِيَّ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of Uhud, Talha bravely protected the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from harm. As a result of his bravery and selflessness, he suffered an injury to his hand which left it paralyzed. This hadith serves as an example for us to follow in order to protect our faith and our beloved Prophet ﷺ from any harm or danger. It also teaches us that we should be willing to sacrifice ourselves for what is right and just even if it means suffering physical pain or injury in return.
