QUICK LESSONS:
Have faith in Allah’s promises; Fight for His cause; Make sacrifices willingly; Believe you will be rewarded by Him even after death .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a man who asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ what would happen to him if he were to die during battle. The Prophet ﷺ told him that if he died, then he would be in paradise or Jannah. Upon hearing this, the man threw away some dates that were in his hand and fought until his death. This hadith teaches us about faith and sacrifice for Allah's sake; it shows us how much faith this man had in Allah's promise of paradise for those who fight for His cause. He was so sure of Allah's promise that when faced with death, instead of clinging onto worldly possessions like dates, which could have been used as sustenance during battle, this man chose to throw them away and fight until his death with full faith that Allah will reward him with paradise for sacrificing himself for His cause.
