QUICK LESSONS:
Make your oaths only in the name of Allah .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is a reminder from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to avoid swearing by false deities or one's own father. Swearing is an act of making a solemn promise and it should only be done in the name of Allah as He alone is worthy of being sworn by. Swearing by other things such as false gods or even one's own father can lead to shirk which is a major sin in Islam. Therefore, this hadith serves as an important reminder for us to stay away from such practices and instead make our oaths only in the name of Allah.
