Sources of Trouble According to the Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that there is no such thing as infection or bad luck, but that a house, horse and woman can be sources of trouble.

Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah said, "There is no infection and no evil omen; but if there is anything (that may be a source of trouble) then it could be a house, a horse, and a woman". Al-Bukhari and Muslim.
وعن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله ‏:‏ ‏ "‏لا عدوى ولا طِيَرة، وإن كان الشؤم في شيء ففي الدار والمرأة، والفرس‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
